This has been the harshest winter in memory. Not from a climate perspective but we all, as a nation have been through a one hundred year global phenomenon, the likes of which hasn't been  seen since the Spanish Flu of 1918 which wiped out at least twenty million at conservative estimates and possibly as many as one hundred million people worldwide and infected around half a billion. Fatalities from this current pandemic have been estimated at a number approaching one million people globally. 

It has been awesome to see New Zealand leading the world in its battle to save lives and march on as best we can in light of this. As a small business owner, I can attest to the struggles this has imposed on much of our country and in Auckland we have had the added burden of water shortages.

Hopefully, with restrictions easing, we can all re-emerge and fight for a brighter future. Our endeavour at Smart is to play our part in this revival.
